Operational Research and AI Lab at LIX
ORAILIX is an Artificial Intelligence research group at the Laboratoire d’Informatique de l’École Polytechnique (LIX), part of École Polytechnique and Institut Polytechnique de Paris, directed by Prof. Sonia Vanier. Founded in September 2024, we develop hybrid approaches that combine modern machine learning with the robustness of operations research, with research axes in trustworthy and responsible AI, AI for mobility, and robust decision systems for complex industrial processes. Our work is embedded in two industrial research chairs at École Polytechnique with Crédit Agricole on trustworthy AI, and with SNCF on AI and optimisation for mobility.

Faced with the rapid rise of artificial intelligence and the various challenges it raises (societal, environmental and regulatory), L'X is strengthening its commitment to responsible AI through this innovative master's degree, taught entirely in English.
